Reporting Web Site

In order to run reports for the customer database, the Reporting Web Site must be configured prior to its first use. The SiteAudit Viewer must be run as administrator to perform the configuration. If this is not done,  it will not be possible to configure the database that the Reporting Web Site uses when generating reports. This behavior has not changed in SiteAudit; however, in version 6.8, no dialog appears to inform the user that the Viewer must be run as administrator. To learn how to configure the Reporting Web Site, refer to the following support article: Configuring SiteAudit to Use Reporting Web Site

How Do I Update My Notification Stylesheet

SiteAudit does not overwrite the default stylesheet that is used to tranform notification email into HTML format. The stylesheet used by SiteAudit is not overwritten during an upgrade if the file has been modified by the user. The reason for this is to avoid overwriting any customizations created by customers. Therefore, to use a new notification stylesheet, one must manually replace the existing one with the new one located in the install folder .

  • Copy the new notification stylesheet from C:\Program Files\Netaphor\SiteAudit\Samples\en\SiteAuditAlertNotification.xsl or download it from the following support article: Customizing Notification Email
  • Replace the existing notification stylesheet located here C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Netaphor\SiteAudit\SiteAuditAlertNotification.xsl with the new file
  • Restart the monitoring service
  • Verify upon the next receipt of notification that consumable data is included (see example below)

SiteAudit Version 6.8 Compatibility

Due to architectural changes introduced in version 6.8, it is important that the SiteAudit Viewer, database, and DCA versions are upgraded to this version at the same time

Monitoring into a 6.8 database with an older version of the DCA can cause threshold incidents to be resolved and prevent new incidents from being created.

Using a prior version of the SiteAudit viewer with a 6.8 or newer database, is not recommended as it is not possible to manage notification rules in this scenario.
