Printer Not Displayed in Views

Note: This article applies to version 5.4 and earlier only!

All views in Netaphor SiteAuditâ„¢ contain a Status column that indicates if a printer is active or inactive. All inactive printers are hidden from SiteAudit views by default. These can be displayed by deselecting the Only show active printers option in the Display Configuration. The image below shows the Display Configuration form in this state.

All printers with an inactive status are hidden from SiteAudit views by default. A printer is inactive in the following cases:

  • SiteAudit has not communicated with a networked printer in more than 30 days, or it has not communicated with a direct-connect printer for seven days or more.
  • Printers that are unmanaged are not monitored by SiteAudit and are considered inactive.
  • Retired printers are also inactive. SiteAudit determines that a printer is retired if it can no longer communicate with the printer and its IP address is taken by another networked device.
The Only show active printers option makes it possible to automatically hide printers that are inactive for one of the above reasons.
